If you find anything good please share. :-)

But this reminds me of A. She actually loves to go to sleep with her books. We read some bed time stories and when we are finished she hugs those books to her like they are a cherished teddy bear.Crystal and Rosariohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10527997341118574855noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15331619.post-22877425259579149072012-04-05T11:58:00.698-07:002012-04-05T11:58:00.698-07:00The Maisy Dobbs Mystery series. Especially in such fashionable clothes.

Have you read any Edith Wharton? I adore her. She's got sass, and she's so sharp. I think I like House of Mirth more than The Age of innocence even though the latter is probably better written.

Also love Wives and Daughters. Great Movie too. It reminded me of Austen.

Also, the Milton sisters wrote some really great books. They themselves had such insane lives!

And here are some younger audience titles that are awesome: The Penderwicks (I think of it as a modern Little Women or Anne of Green Gables), A Northern LIght (really pretty writing and setting), White Cat (mafia meets magic)

I just realized every one of these books were written by women. There it is.Sherryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09324484269354163101noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15331619.post-37039470803239991242012-04-05T07:33:01.860-07:002012-04-05T07:33:01.860-07:00Just finished "On Little Wings" by Regin...Just finished "On Little Wings" by Regina Soiris (I might be spelling the last name wrong) and really liked it. You have probably covered our list pretty well but I have loved almost every book we have read in our book club lasvegasladiesofliterature.blogspot.com

I think all the time after looking at your 'finished reading' section, I wonder if she liked that book? I think we need a good 'katie the english teacher' source so you can tell us what we should be reading! I promise to look for themes and character development if you do! :)Kacey Nielsenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03332958281193504713noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15331619.post-65219080135839147962012-04-05T06:55:08.769-07:002012-04-05T06:55:08.769-07:00I saw the movie after I read the book and it was n...I saw the movie after I read the book and it was not as good as the book. :) As for recommendations--have you read Unbroken yet?
