Hi, I'm Katie. I used to make high school students read Shakespeare and F. Scott Fitzgerald (and tried my hardest to make them like it). Now, I'm taking a hiatus to be a full-time mom to my two adorable boys.
I started this blog in 2005 as a 21-year-old college student. This was right after my sweet husband swept me off my feet, married me, and we started our new life together. I've chronicled the adventures of our day-to-day life ever since: the killer chocolate chip cookie recipe I found after years of searching, the birth of our sweet Kaden in 2010, learning to interpret Southern dialect when I became a transplant to the South, and our chubby baby Everett's arrival in 2013. The main reason I blog is to collect memories--the series of tiny moments that I witness my children experience each day and never want to forget.
But this is also a place for me to just feel like a writer, something I've always wanted to be. More than anything. For practically forever.
Every writer needs an audience. So take a look around. I hope you like what you read.
