Somedays, being a stay at home mom is . . .

Trying so very hard not to yell, and hearing yourself fail with every decibel increase belting from your vocal chords.

Questioning how the laundry basket can possibly be so full already. Didn't you just finish all the laundry?

Feeling the depression set in, when you find a tear in the sofa's upholstery and know there is no way the budget's going to allow for replacing that joker.

Vacuuming up goldfish crackers.  And more goldfish crackers.  And remnants of goldfish crackers.  And wondering at what point little orange crumbs will no longer be the bane of your existence.

Making dry shampoo the extent of your morning beauty routine.

Vaguely remembering what it was like to have a career that didn't involve the words "fecal matter" anywhere in the job description.

Wondering if your best just isn't enough.

Somedays, like today, being a stay at home mom is hard.  And frustrating.  And exhausting.

Tomorrow will be better.
